Man I am Blessed

So lately, I've been feeling happier and happier. I think part of it is the fact that the sun has started to come out along with warmer temperatures. I'm also starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel for student teaching (I'm done next week!). The future is unknown, and that's scary and exciting all at the same time.

However, this week I found out that one of the guys I used to work with has the equivalent of Mad Cow Disease. They are saying he has maybe three more months. He has four boys; the oldest is 10. When I first heard about it, I thought for sure it wasn't real. Today, listening to the stories of people who have seen him, prayed over him...it all became real.

It's stories like these that make me remember how precious life and love are. I can't imagine being his wife, or his children. That is probably one of my top ten fears - watching someone so close going through that. Yet, he knows where he is going - to be with the Creator in a perfect place with no pain and no suffering.

This week, I found out that my cousin has become a believer - she now knows who her Savior is - the most exciting news in the world.

I think with the extremes this week, it's hard to understand how a God who could create these amazing things could allow his beloved ones to go through such pain. But as my pastor says, "DOT". God is BIG; I am small!

I'm slowly starting to get it...it's just hard sometimes :)
