I just thought I would write today on something near and dear to my heart - Georgia Football

I used to be one of those crazy fans - I breathed Georgia Football all fall long. I was a devoted student fan there two hours before every game, seated in the first couple rows, saving seats with pom-poms (yes I was THAT girl), and even occasionally painting up the boys seated in front of me despite the weather (props to the guys at the 2004 Tech game shirtless in the freezing rain). I never missed a home game, and often went to every away game that I could afford to venture to.

Enter my life now - I would rather watch the game on TV - how sad am I? Not because I don't love my Dawgs. The 4th quarter cheer still brings tears to my eyes, as does the video highlighting all the proud Georgia moments. I love the atmosphere of having over 90,000 of your new BFFs all around you, screaming their hearts out. I love dressing in my red and black items of clothing, not worrying about how freezing cold it is outside.
I do love Georgia football - but I do love watching it on TV. Here are some of my reasons before you say that I am contradicting myself:
- I like watching replays to see the awesome hit or catch, just one more time or to see that the Ref has indeed lost his mind, and if the outcome is a loss, he will be the one to blame
- I like being able to sit and eat as I watch the game on my comfy couch or someone else's
- I hate leaving the game or being around people from the other team when we lose - yes I am that prideful about my Dawgs
- I can make fun of the commentators when we prove them wrong, as we usually do (yes I did say prideful)
- I don't have to sit in traffic to go home
- I love being able to watch the Dawgs without stressing about all the other stuff I could be doing since a game usually takes the whole day
So you may not see the external evidences (I've been writing too many papers), I still bleed red and black - in the stadium and at home!
Goooo Dawgs!
